It does make it harder to see posts from people providing updated
information. The log of updates is probably generally of minimal interest.
Having it available is nice, but I don't need to see it on a daily basis.
Of course, I've been a pretty slack data base updater, haven't made any
updates from the newsgroup in ages (I have made some updates from set boxes
as I catalog my collection).
