Hi Jordan,
it was Rasmus' idea and since he came with specific and concrete ideas, there
wasn't much to be said against it. Glad you're happy with it :-)

Eventually we might also want groups for specific languages but that can still wait for a while until the things like NXC, Ralph Hempel's Lua thing, (...)
