Belville Battle Bridge, Witches with NUNCHUCKS & Manriki gusari variant

Word. Posted a few more pics to my brickshelf account. (URL) built this out of the white mountainside BUMPs that are included in 7417 (x2) & 7412 (x4 or 5), and dark grey bumps from 4709 (x2). I geuss the main inspiration for it was realising that (...) (20 years ago, 16-Feb-05, to lugnet.belville, lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build, lugnet.announce.moc)

New MOC: 30,000 piece neighborhood with minfigs that walk around

Hi everyone! (Alternate subject for this post: "Why has Sean been so quiet for the last few months?") I was comissioned by a Dallas-area company called Healthvision to build a large LEGO model for their booth at a trade show, also in Dallas. The (...)   4886 alternate model

I did this alternate model of the 4886 designer set ("Buildind Bonanza") to fit it on a minifig-scale town. Except for the trees, flowers, minifigs and car, I've used _only_ bricks from the set. (...) Guys, look back a dozen posts and you'll see a thread called "Modding the new LEGO lightup minifig", by the original creator of light-up light sabres (not TLC!). There you shall learn all. ;] KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203 (20 years ago, 13-Feb-05, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Rob, my favourite line on your page: "Modding LEGO's rendition of my LifeLites minifigs" LMAO!! Stick it to 'em :] That "trash-can-lid" minifig head on the TLC version is bizarre. I can't believe they didn't make the batteries replaceable. (...) (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.parts.mod)

(...) Ooh good thought. What might be even neater is if the blade itself is removable, so that when you put the blade in, it lights up. That would be even more movie-realistic. ~Kevoh (20 years ago, 5-Feb-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.space, lugnet.parts.mod)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) If you use 1 inch = 1 meter, a minifig is about 4 1/2 feet tall, a good size to relate to kids, I think. Then use four studs = one "inch", or one meter. It's not really accurate, but it sure is easy! Tim (Smith) (20 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)

(...) Heh, I've done some checking... (URL) the answer is "whatever you think is right". Minifigs are just built very un-humanly. Very thick front-to-back, very wide, or very short. Or all three. In general, people usually derive scale by minifig (...) (20 years ago, 26-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.military)

(...) I agree with previous posts that the variability of minifigs, not to mention their dispropotion nature means that a number of scales are possible. Hello! When I was browsing BrickShelf and I saw this windmill it was crying "Don Quijote!" to me. :-) That's a cool building, both in terms of building techniques and in terms of realism. It's not exactly minifig scale, though, is it? Bye Jojo (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.schleim)
