| | 4886 alternate model
|
| I did this alternate model of the 4886 designer set ("Buildind Bonanza") to fit it on a minifig-scale town. Except for the trees, flowers, minifigs and car, I've used _only_ bricks from the set. (URL) of the inside. I prefer back open buildings, but (...) (20 years ago, 13-Feb-05, to lugnet.announce.moc) !

| (...) Wow. So they are bananas? And you had how many of these in a week? I'm impressed! I'm diabetic; I'd be in a coma after the first one! (...) Gonna be lots on sale after this year. :( or I guess maybe :) You're from Toronto and not into hockey? (...) (20 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

| (...) Guys, look back a dozen posts and you'll see a thread called "Modding the new LEGO lightup minifig", by the original creator of light-up light sabres (not TLC!). There you shall learn all. ;] KDJ ___...___ LUGNETer #203 (20 years ago, 13-Feb-05, to lugnet.starwars)

| | Re: Is 1:40 minifig scale? (was Project YAMATO)
|
| (...) If you use 1 inch = 1 meter, a minifig is about 4 1/2 feet tall, a good size to relate to kids, I think. Then use four studs = one "inch", or one meter. It's not really accurate, but it sure is easy! Tim (Smith) (20 years ago, 27-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

| (...) I agree with previous posts that the variability of minifigs, not to mention their dispropotion nature means that a number of scales are possible. However, for me personally Minifig scale is not really 40:1. I have been doing a lot of work (...) (20 years ago, 28-Jan-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

| | Re: Mediterranean Windmill
|
| Hello! When I was browsing BrickShelf and I saw this windmill it was crying "Don Quijote!" to me. :-) That's a cool building, both in terms of building techniques and in terms of realism. It's not exactly minifig scale, though, is it? Bye Jojo (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.schleim)

| (...) Heck, more than that, you are assuming minifigs *sleep*. I didn't exit my dark ages long ago, but I can tell you over the course of several years, I've yet to catch even *one* of my minifigs sleeping. Not so much as closing a painted eye. If (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.space)

| (...) I'm not sure if you mean it's too big or too small - I'd say it's pretty close for minifigs! I saw several on the island of different sizes. This would count as one of the largest, but size of this style varies depending on where you go. Some (...) (20 years ago, 9-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.schleim)
