| | Collision Advoidance Emitter Circuit
|
| Hi All, Had anyone actually built the Infared LED emitter circuit that is on the Rug Warrior? (i.e. pg 108 of Chapter 5 of the book "Mobile Robots" by Jones and Flynn). I've looked at it and I can't for the life of me figure out how it works. Before (...) (28 years ago, 22-Apr-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| | Re: Vector2x SPI interrupt driven code

| (...) I had troubles with the V2X within 2 inches of some small hobby motors. Lotsa magnet there, but larger motors have more magnet. The calibration is supposed to adjust for "hard iron" disturbances, so just having it bolted to your robot with (...) (28 years ago, 5-Mar-97, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| I've found the Hall Effect switches that All Electronics sells to be quite useful. Their part number is the HESW-2 and they are 75 cents each, or 10 for $6.50. (100 for $60.00). They are easily activated by the micro magnets that Radio Shack sells (...) (28 years ago, 15-Jun-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

|
| Well after much delay, I've finally got my first HandyBoard up and running. (I've got another one in parts, but that is a different story) I can confirm that HBDL.exe does *NOT* work on my 133Mhz Pentium under Windows '95. It does work on my 486/33 (...) | (...) It's produced by Precision Navigation (415) 962-8777, but they don't sell them direct; however, they may send you the specs. Jameco sells them for $50. Briefly, it's a dual axis magnetometer, no moving parts. It's reported accuracy is +/- 2 (...) (29 years ago, 5-Mar-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

| | Robot Chassis
|
| Given the extensive traffic concerning robot platforms, I thought I'd add my two cents: For my senior project at Cal Poly I made a robot that had three wheels, two of which were independently driven and one which was a small caster. The chassis and (...) (29 years ago, 7-Feb-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)
