  Re: RTLToronto NMRA pictures

(...) Welcome to the crazy world of displaying a Lego train layout! Glad to hear you had fun, I hope your group continues to 'dabble' in trains. And I'm *really* looking forward to what your RCX expertise can bring to the world of Lego trains. How (...) (21 years ago, 21-Jul-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.trains)

Re: NEW Train Set! 65537 My Own Train Classic Freight Train

(...) Interesting set. I'm curious about the "only independent stores will be allowed to order this" comment. Anyone have any guesses if LEGO Train Clubs might be able to order some to sell at shows? If I can create my own custom model and have Lego send me the parts, that makes me less likely to look (...) (19 years ago, 19-Jul-05, to lugnet.general)

You have customers that want to spend lots of money on your product, if you can figure out a way to make it happen. We want (...) (17 years ago, 11-Apr-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

GMLTC layout on its way to Carlsbad!

It's official: The GMLTC train layout is on its way to LEGOLAND Carlsbad. The big truck pulled away from my house around 10 minutes ago. Hopefully it doesn't get lost in "the system", or our display won't be nearly as impressive... ;-) Hope to see (...) (24 years ago, 22-Jun-00, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce) !

  a few more 'Challenger' pictures

I uploaded four more pictures to my Challenger folder, but these are pictures of the real thing. The Challenger visited the Twin Cities last Summer, and I had to see it in person.   RTLToronto NMRA pictures

I tried just x-posting their message to .trains, but Lugnet said I couldn't do it, because my message was "96% quotes", and that I had to trim some of their message before I could x-post it.   Re: train width

(...) Well, considering trains in the U.S. are about twice the width of the rails, and overhang the ends of the ties, I'd say the actual width should be 10 wide, with automobiles being 7 wide -- wide enough for two minifigs to sit side-by-side.
