Re: [Q] Remote control code ?

(...) Okay, I tried writing it anyway. It doesn't work, and I think it's because I'm not changing the motor speeds. All I'm doing is changing motor directions. Help me out, please, since I spent the time to install BrickOS in BricxCC and learn the (...) (20 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.robotics, FTX)

  Infrared emitting ball

Does anyone know where to get plans to build an infrared soccer ball, like the ones used in RoboCup? Buying one is expensive, so maybe I could build one instead. Thanks. (20 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: please add set 9833

(...) Update: This adapter can be used for an RCX, and for train sets. The RCX accepts AC inputs of 9V to 12V, and converts it to DC internally. (20 years ago, 31-Mar-04, to lugnet.admin.database, FTX)

Where did you get purple pieces? I have honestly never seen them. Oh wait . . . the new Harry Potter bus. (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: PCS Troopers are GO!

I dunno . . . don't you think that shade of gray is kind of dull and boring? Something a little brighter would be better. It's a good thing LEGO is making new pieces. < /sarcasm> That is a fantastic ship. I really like how the thing is modularized. (...) (20 years ago, 20-Apr-04, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: LDraw.org 2004-02 Parts Update Now Available

(...) Thanks! I'm the person (URL) requested the 50 x 50 baseplate>, and it's great to see it official. It's quite an old "part" (it's so big it's hard to call it a "piece"). It probably is LEGO's biggest part ever. Thanks again, Chris Dee, for (...) (20 years ago, 23-Apr-04, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: Photos of The Vault / 'new' classic space set?

I never knew this vault existed. Wow. That is the coolest room ever. I assume most, if not all, of those sets are unopened. Seeing that stack of monorail sets made me envious . . . . (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.general)

  Re: More pictures!

You know, I just realized something. LEGO train club builders don't spend a lot of time or pieces on actual trains. They instead spend their time and effort on the scenery around the trains. Those buildings are amazing, especially the ones with (...) (20 years ago, 6-May-04, to lugnet.trains.org.scltc, FTX)

  Re: NEW ANIMATION

(...) Not really. But if you look closely, you'll see that anything that's animated has the word "clock" in its code. In a separate .ini file you specify how many frames you want and POV-Ray automatically creates that many clock cycles and renders (...) (20 years ago, 10-May-04, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

New LEGO-themed PC game (not official)

This is my first post to the LUGNET newsgroups after having joined LUGNET this month. It's actually one of the reasons I joined in the first place -- to get comments, suggestions, and even volunteers about this game from LUGNET members. So, here it (...)   Re: MOC: Statue of Liberty Pedestal for set 3450

The Statue of Liberty's pedastal was built in the middle of 11-pointed star-shaped Fort Wood on Bedloe's Island. My ASCII art of the fort's shape: / \ / \ / _ / / / \ / / \ / / \ / \ / / That's definitely not to scale, but it shows how to make an (...)   Re: CardShark: A Shuffling and Dealing Creation!

I like it. Is there any chance you'd provide some instructions or have a parts list? With a project that big it probably isn't worth the trouble to do that, though. How about the code for the program it's running? (21 years ago, 17-Aug-03, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: RCX & RIS, a fading glory?

Yes, you are on to something. Many industrial robots are "programmed" in much the same way. The operator "teaches" it which movements to make using manual controls, and then the robot can do those movements over and over again without error. In the (...)   Re: RCX & RIS, a fading glory?

I'm getting one for Christmas. The pneumatic parts in it are the new style, though. That means the big cylinders no longer have that "brick" at the bottom of them to attach to studs. All there is now is the Technice hole at the bottom. (21 years ago, 21-Aug-03, to lugnet.robotics)
