(...) Whenever you use a battery pack, use a FUSE!!!!!! I work on products that use the 12V gel cels rated at 4AH or greater, you can find them in security panels etc. Anyways, one day a guy in the drafting department measured the distance between (...)   Re: When is "Not an Auction" really an auction?

(...) Does the AHD have a separate entry for "sealed-bid auction"? What does it say for "animal"? Is a "stuffed animal" (as in teddy-bear, not taxidermy :) an animal any more or less than a "sealed-bid auction" is an auction? stuffed animal eye (...)   RE: External Power Port Problem..?

To be safe, you could use a small 1A fuse. You can buy in-line fuse holders in electronics parts stores. It's a little black tube with a screw on cap, and wires or solder tabs on both ends. Just tape it to your battery pack. Another possibility is (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: IR tower question

Thanks a lot, Reimer, for answering the Ir question. This gives a starting point for more playing around with the Ir. If only my palm had IR--maybe for Xmas. Really clever idea for creating the 38kHz carrier. Mike Reimer Mellin <davmel@primenet.com> (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: LEGO Outlet @ Potomac Mills Mall is now shipping!

(...) The way it was explained to me on the phone is that they are not allowed to post or otherwise advertise on the web about their stock and prices. Basically you need to call them to find out the details. You can also try sending email to (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: UKLUG Prototype online

Looks very good. A couple of suggestions though. Firstly, I'd echo Larry's point about frames - but more than that, I can't see any reason why this page should use frames at all. Doesn't look like any of the frames will need separate scrollbars. (...) (25 years ago, 2-Dec-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
