The biggest problem I see with using rotating platforms, etc. is that they are slow and use up a bunch of I/O ports to implement well. There are a number of "one pixel" sensors that you can use with these implementations -- several have been (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) well (...) That is assuming that you're close enough to a star to be getting that kind of solar radiation. Out in deep space, say, Pluto's distance from the Sun, there is basically no solar radiation. Thus, space acts as a giant heatsink and (...) (26 years ago, 30-Nov-99, to lugnet.space)
