go to start->settings->control panel->ports and see if COM1 is available, if not then use the the com port that is listed there, if there is nothing there then there is something wrong. (...) Agreed - those bricks are *OK* as the bricks they replace (1*1*1, 1*2*1, 1*3*1) aren't too uncommon. But not the two-piece palm-trees, the 1*5*5 (?) sloped pieces that used to be made from several 1*2*1 slopes and bricks and all the other (...) (25 years ago, 21-Nov-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)
