I've found that shooting a laser pointer at a bicycle reflector gives a good enough return (to a light sensor right next to the laser source) to be detected. You can use this for navigation, as the RCX can turn around and find strategically mounted (...) (26 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I'm happy to announce that formal LUGNET memberships are now available. :) Things won't be very fancy initially (no map or other web-toys yet) but this gets the ball rolling and begins to pave the way for much more to come later down the road. (...) Had worse than a missing piece happen tonite. As I was completeing the 4020 Fireboat I was lucky to get in a auction a while ago....I found that the stickers had been cut in half, and they were unusable. ARGH ! ! ! ! ! But at least the 4031 (...) (26 years ago, 14-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)
