Hello: I was thinking about Vlad Dumitresu's goal of tracking robot position with a mouse. Arjen Gerstel's comment about wireless mice reminded me of a company called Gyropoint, which makes an inexpensive plastic gyroscope. They have embedded ;this (...) I'm looking for a complete package which includes all the tools I need to work with legOS on a Windows95 platform (or DOS). Something for a beginner if you like... Anyone know where to find this? I have a few 7745 sets. One of the sets has wheels with a red 'hub' on the end of the axles whereas the others have black. Are these the wrong wheels or are they just a variation? (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.trains)

If Lego is moving more towards 'play' than 'build' as some as suggested, by which they mean more 'themed' sets with lots of theme specific parts, but less actual bricks, then perhaps we will see more movie licences like Star Wars to make the sets (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.general)

TRU, Chatham had 6289s priced at under 30GBP... I grabbed the last two (plus a dozen How Wheels too), and the whole lot came in at under 50GBP!!! 4 quid off the first 6289, 6 quid off the second (?) then bogof (buy-one-get-one-free) on the HWs - (...) (25 years ago, 11-Nov-99, to lugnet.loc.uk)
