(...) I'm not sure if its worth complaining about...operationally its still the same product even if you can't plug it into a wall wart. I'm more concerned with any changes to the ROM. It appears identical in all regards to pictures I've seen online, except the end opposite the IR transceiver is totally smooth and blank, and there are two extra studs on top above where the socket was. That's terrible! I've found the AC adapter plug to be very useful. We use the AC adapter port primarily to conserve batteries while programming/testing our RCX. I also once tried to avoid having to re-download the firmware and my programs by (...) (25 years ago, 19-Oct-99, to lugnet.robotics)
