  I'm doing a show!

It's been so long since I've done an actual show! I'll be setting up the #OBBCSL at the Canadian Toy Collector's Society's show! Location and time information - May 22, 2022 Etobicoke Olympium 590 Rathburn Rd. Etobicoke, (Toronto) Ontario, Canada (...)   Re: My Living Room Classic Space layout - Using LifeLites

(...) Thanks so much Dave! ! I sporadically check out LUGNET ;) I'm just kinda focused on making this layout as 'best' as possible. I may get bored of it at some point and do something else, but for now, this is basically it :) Good hearing from (...) (2 years ago, 17-May-22, to lugnet.space)

Re: My Living Room Classic Space layout - Using LifeLites

(...) <Removed> (...) Thanks so much! I always considered my building style to be stuck in the '70's and 'early '80's :) I have fun with it, tho. And i'm basically doing 2 shows 'back-to-back' One this upcoming weekend in Etobicoke, and one the (...) (2 years ago, 17-May-22, to lugnet.space)

Re: My Living Room Classic Space layout - Using LifeLites

(...) Terrific work! I'm sorry that I didn't see this thread until now, or I'd have commented sooner. I don't go in for LEGO much lately, but Classic Space will forever hold a special classic space in my heart. Thanks for sharing! Dave! (2 years ago, 7-Apr-22, to lugnet.space)

Re: My Living Room Classic Space layout - Using LifeLites

(...) Truely wonderful work! I really like the contrast between the classic space and the modern building styles. (3 years ago, 28-Mar-22, to lugnet.space)

An RCX running on a Windows XP VM controlling a monorail train

I set up my WinXP VM with BrixCC and connected one of my RCX's to my copperized monorail track. I wrote a quick NQC program that would control the speed and direction of the monorail train via a rotation sensor connected to the RCX. It's not as (...)   How to get RCX software and the IR tower to work on modern systems

And yes, it uses virtual devices. A friend sent me a link to this page- <https://www.bartnec...EU-FA9e10> The page gives a walkthru to set up a virtual device, install XP in that virtual device and then spool up the RCX software and the IR tower I (...)   Re: Oh no - Crocodile disappeared in S@H / discontinued as trains are not selling?

(...) Oof. I admit that I only now stumbled upon your post, Ben. Yes, I’m afraid that LUGNET’s role from now on will be THE historical record for the genesis of the worldwide phenomenon of the AFOL. And I admit that I certainly feel like a dinosaur (...) (3 years ago, 3-Mar-22, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

My Living Room Classic Space layout - Using LifeLites

I 'finished' (is it ever done?) lighting up my Classic Space Layout and decided to set it up in my living room. I took some pics and posted them on my Flickr channel - <https://flic.kr/s/aHBqjzD1sW> Also took a few vids and put them on my YouTube (...)   Re: Oh no - Crocodile disappeared in S@H / discontinued as trains are not selling?

I didn't realize the new Crocodile won't operate at all without a smart phone. That is sad to hear. I haven't yet seen on on the track - it looks like it is much more of a display model than an operating model. Is it almost "too realistic" for Lego? (...)   Oh no - Crocodile disappeared in S@H / discontinued as trains are not selling?

Hi, this third message in a row is to highlight that just nothing appears to happen at Lugnet any longer... 10 years ago any news on LEGO trains would have caused excitement here. Now a new set comes up and vanishes unnoted. At least I have my 3 (...) (3 years ago, 23-Nov-21, to lugnet.trains)

How to operate the Crocodile without smartphone...

Hi all, maybe this is limited to the German community, but many LEGO fans there dislike the idea of using the smartphone to control LEGO models. Especially when it comes to trains (and kids being involved in playing with them), many do prefer a (...) (3 years ago, 23-Nov-21, to lugnet.trains)

New Train Set appeared at S@H!

Good Morning, Lego Train Fans! Ok, this might not be really new. But So far I have not read about 10277 Crocodile on Lugnet nor found it listed in the database... :-) <https://www.youtube...iLPqVMmoM> I love it! Leg Godt! Ben (3 years ago, 23-Nov-21, to lugnet.trains)

  Lego Space Set Reviews!!!!

Yeah, I wanted a project during Covid and this was as good as it gets for me... And no one else posts here anymore - not even that guy talking about monthly dinners... So with much further ado, I've been building and reviewing all LEGO space sets, (...) (3 years ago, 4-Nov-21, to lugnet.space)
