This MOC was built in one evening during December 2009. Icy Lake is completely snot to represent the snow around the lake. On the quay there is a frozen fisherman. The technique I've been using to make minifig torsos can be extended to heads, but I have one critical problem that I haven't been able to figure out yet: Before tracing an image, I need an image that is facing the camera head-on. WOW!! I am surprised the scanned results are usable /AT ALL/!!!! I'm generally completely skeptical about technology's ability to perform such tasks. I.e. almost 100% of the time a human operator is what is needed to achieve usable results. (...) (14 years ago, 19-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

Are there any plans on creating an LDView-based browser plugin? It would be nice if a plugin were added to the Firefox or Chrome plugin libraries, as well as automatically loaded and found when encountering LDraw files. -Mike (14 years ago, 19-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dev)

(...) I think that many of the POV-Ray colors were tuned by the All-In-One Installer from LDraw.org. These are tuned for rendering. The LDconfig.ldr is not tuned for rendering. I've been trying to use the fastrad.inc script with scenes generated by the new version (1.4) of L3P that supports LDConfig.ldr. However, the results are not nearly as attractive as they were with older versions of L3P. Anyone have an idea of what (...) (14 years ago, 18-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.ray)
