Re: Patterns: Outline or no outline?

Hi Lee, I've started looking at the process of creating patterns for parts. I've been reading through Willy Tschager article "Pattern It: (URL) found a copy of Monzoom (Willy's recommended program for manipulating 2D shapes), but as it's in German I (...)   Re: Brickfête - Canadian Lego Fan Event

(...) Um Janey? You might want to ex-nay on the mocking me eh. If i can get "thee" John Neal to work on Brickfete badges. Well, that would be quite a feather in our caps. I heard a rumor that Mr. Neal was thinking, on planing, to think about firing (...) (14 years ago, 15-Mar-11, to lugnet.org.ca.obb, FTX)

(...) John, I guess I don't understand. While I think yuou are saying my reaction is a shock, I am a bit confuse as to the image of the peace sign you linked too. Chris B.E.D. Whats that stink? (14 years ago, 15-Mar-11, to lugnet.org.ca.obb, FTX)

Re: Patterns: Outline or no outline?

(...) The black sections on 973p74 are probably my mistake, since the basis of the pattern (without the Police decorations) was a copy of 973p73. Generally speaking, unless we have evidence the that colour is actually printed, by having the same (...) (14 years ago, 15-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: 3D laser scanning

(...) Hi all, I'm late to this party - I'm kind of languishing through another LEGO Dark Age.. We recently got a new desktop 3D scanner at my work. I am trying to learn how to use it, so I'd be up for doing some parts. The process of making the (...) (14 years ago, 15-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad, FTX)

(...) I do apologize, Janey. I've probably violated a few decency laws with that first one! JOHN (14 years ago, 15-Mar-11, to lugnet.org.ca.obb, FTX)

Re: Patterns: Outline or no outline?

(...) I second that. I do not think there is a strict rule to follow. It depends mostly if main color adds or takes away something to the pattern. Check out my 973pw5 and how I interpreted: (URL) (14 years ago, 14-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

Re: Patterns: Outline or no outline?

Hello Lee, (...) A tough question indeed. The recommended practice is to be faithful to the real part, eg. if the areas with background color are not printed, then use main color, otherwise use solid background color. Exception to this occur if (...) (14 years ago, 14-Mar-11, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)
