  Re: 8 Wide Steam Trains

Before John jumps on my post, when I said, "The larger the scale, the more parts you'll use, and the heavier it will be," I meant that as "generally speaking." Simple boxcars aren't going to be much heavier at 8- or 10-wide than at 6-wide, for (...) (15 years ago, 16-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Converting an Emerald Knight to run on 9 volt track

(...) We had some luck adding a 9v motor to the tender and pushing the locomotive. We did find that it works best if you remove the internal gearing on the locmotive, though, to help cut down on the friction, thereby making it easier to push. -Elroy (15 years ago, 16-Dec-09, to lugnet.trains)

  The TCLTC Changes Its Name

Since I have relocated away from the Twin Cities of Mpls/St.Paul, MN, I've decided to change the name of the club. Eventually, I plan on moving to Tucson, AZ, so "TCLTC" will stand for "TuCson LEGO Train Club, but in the mean time, I'm going to call (...)
