Re: Custom Santa Fe GP-38 Loco w/Yellow & Blue Warbonnet scheme.

(...) Might S scale decals be nearer the right size? There's a lot more complex construction in the loco than appears at first glance. Tim (15 years ago, 15-Aug-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Western Maryland "Russian Decapod"

Re: Looking for replacement CD-Rom for Droid Developer Kit (9748)

Hi Mark If you can't get your hands on the original dev kit CD-ROM, you should be able to program it with NQC. If the hardware is the same as the Dark Side Development Kit (pretty sure it is) NQC works brilliantly. Cheers Tom (...) (15 years ago, 15-Aug-09, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.starwars)

Looking for replacement CD-Rom for Droid Developer Kit (9748)

Picked up a used Droid Developer Kit (set #9748) via garage sale. Had the instruction manuel, the micro-scout and missing less than a handful of parts (easily replaced). However, it was also missing the CD_Rom. Anyone know where I can get a (...) (15 years ago, 15-Aug-09, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.starwars)

Custom Santa Fe GP-38 Loco w/Yellow & Blue Warbonnet scheme.

Well, I built this MOC in about 5 days, (not counting the time waiting for parts) but waited 30 days to finally get decals on it. Unfortunately, O-scale was too big, and HO-scale is too small, but I had to go with HO, cause it at least fit. (URL) (...) (15 years ago, 15-Aug-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX) !

Great to see you back in action Jonathan! Even die hard castle fan that I am, I always look forward to being inspired by your layouts... Loving the increased focus on landscaping as well! Great work and thanks for sharing! God Bless, Nathan (URL) (15 years ago, 14-Aug-09, to lugnet.town, FTX)

  Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

--snip-- (...) The majority of LDraw users I know of outside LUGNET (flickr, facebook and TBB) use MLCAD and LDview for their LDraw experience. It's not a full poll and it's not a big sample but it's probably a better example of 'new users' than (...) (15 years ago, 14-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: New LDConfig.ldr color file

(...) Quality is important, but the first priority of Ldraw should always be to make it easy to create and share the models. Photo-realism is nice, to be sure, but certainly a somewhat lower priority. I'm not aware of any photo-realistic realtime (...) (15 years ago, 13-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

You are right about one thing: newer LEGO colours isn't one of my obsessions, but I may download other peoples' LDraw MOCs... (...) I'd love to, but I don't think (...) (...) Couldn't find the word "vitriol" in my dictionary, just "vitrify". But from the context I conclude it's something like aggressive, rude, grumpy, impolite, or emotional.   Re: Mirror matrix question

(...) Hi Kevin, I just realised that there might be a way to do this by exploiting the way LDRAW defines parts. All mirrored parts should be written as a bunch of studs and a subpart which is either mirrored or non-mirrored. By determining which (...) (15 years ago, 13-Aug-09, to lugnet.cad)

Neat story. That's quite a coincidence! Maybe it's some kind of omen. If you keep making real life buildings in LEGO, eventually you'll own them. ;-) David (15 years ago, 13-Aug-09, to lugnet.town)
