  Re: Little Red Thing!

I like this one! Beefy but still simple. The small visible computer interface and hinging arms with cheese slopes are my favourite touches! Thanks for sharing and God Bless, Nathan (URL) (16 years ago, 9-Mar-09, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  TasLUG's meeting

It has been some years since a TasLUG meeting. I have been having a regular stall at my local market selling Lego and have met quite a few adults who are interested in Lego. Therefore I thought it was time to revive TasLUG's and therefore will be (...) (16 years ago, 9-Mar-09, to lugnet.loc.au)

In lugnet.trains, Stefan Garcia wrote: <snip> (...) I've looked at doing different track sections consistently with the old style 9v track (with the metal on top). Putting the metal on top is a very expensive proposition and found the whole scenario (...) (16 years ago, 9-Mar-09, to lugnet.trains)

25% OFF any single lot of Parts! Again! :-D

I have ended my 10% off sale, but am still in a generous mood, so I will run my 25% OFF any single PART lot again! So if you missed it last week, here is your chance again! I will even run it longer this time so everyone has a chance to see the (...) (16 years ago, 9-Mar-09, to lugnet.market.brickshops)

Re: Has anyone considered molding track ourselves?

(...) I think some people have investigated this in the past for 9V and found that the cost was to great to warrant proceeding. That said, it is probably more feasible for the 'RC Track' since you would not have to deal with the metal rails. (...) (16 years ago, 9-Mar-09, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: A couple of gear questions

(...) Not sure - I don't have any. (...) The same reason. The part is effectively a torque limiter - it even has the nominal torque limit printed on it (2.5-5.0 Ncm) - where it is placed in the gear chain simply decides how much maximum torque is (...) (16 years ago, 8-Mar-09, to lugnet.technic)

  A couple of gear questions

Hello all, I was wondering a couple of things with gears: Is the timing wheel ((URL) a gear? Can two of them interact with each other? What (other) uses does it have? The 24-tooth clutch gear ((URL) seems to absorb motion if it gets stuck. However, (...) (16 years ago, 8-Mar-09, to lugnet.technic)
