Re: New set - 8264 Hauler

(...) I just picked one up this afternoon. I'll be writing a review on Eurobricks in the next couple of days. I also posted a review of the 8262 Quad Bike. Eric (URL) Technicopedia> (16 years ago, 24-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

Re: What I want for Christmas

(...) The head of the PFS group is on holidays presently but I will pass this list on to him in the new year and I'll pass it through the Ambassadors program now in case that gets different results. I suspect that some of this may be answered and (...) (16 years ago, 24-Dec-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

  Re: Hopper car model

(...) In addition to the places you mentions, the (URL) site allows you to set up a gallery. There's a lot of cross-over between forums, but that site is also beginning to pick up some users who are new to the hobby. -Elroy (who'll probably build a (...)   New set - 8264 Hauler

This is the first time I've seen it (URL) love new set time. These panels would be great for bridge decking or temporary ramps. (URL) (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: Reshaping 4.5v track

(...) I’ve had some success using a heat gun although you have to monitor the temperature extremely closely. You could also try making small cuts on the inside of the curve rails, but i've never tried this method myself. ondrew (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.trains)

  Hopper car model

A few months back I designed a (URL) train car: (URL) And recently I built LDraw instructions for it and published them online. What's the best way to share them? I put the CAD file (URL) on my blog> and on Flickr (as a comment under the (URL) 3D (...) (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.trains, lugnet.cad, FTX)

Re: What I want for Christmas

(...) All that would be a good start. I'd like to know recommended age range(s), since so many of the people asking us train questions are parents with small kids. I'd like to know what sort of battery pack they'll have. I seem to remember someone (...) (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Ni har väl inte missat...

(...) Halloj! (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.loc.se, FTX)

  Re: L(EGO)Draw parts - 2nd batch

(...) I woudln't bother pushing this. LEGO is being very nice to the fan community by providing us parts in LDRAW DAT format. I'd leave it at that. Jeff (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: L(EGO)Draw parts - 2nd batch

(...) For sure it would be best to get a file format closer from the original design (.stl for example), to be able to tweak stl2dat parameters for better results. Or to create directly POV versions... Philo (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Re: L(EGO)Draw parts - 2nd batch

(...) Mike, The LU Team submits directly in LDraw. As you can see in the header: 0 Created with stl2dat conversion tool they use Marc Klein's converter. It is known that TLG uses a heavily modified Maya to author parts. Bye, w. (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.cad.dat.parts)

  Reshaping 4.5v track

I am wanting to use my old 4.5v tracks for a narrow gauge train that will be 4 studs wide. Obviously the straight track is fine, but it is the curve track that is giving me some bother. Can anyone suggest a solution? (16 years ago, 23-Dec-08, to lugnet.trains)
