Re: Articulation with "working" connecting rods

(...) Indeed, it is good to get all the right parts in all the right places. It is also great to see the compilation of so many solutions that people came up with. I'm surprised that Neither Ben nor Anthony pointed out the idea of splitting the (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Burlington Northern GP9

Re: Variations in dark blue color.

SNIP Granted, liquid color has it's place...I just (...) Very interesting article. I think the molded plastics business is in the same state of affairs that the paint industry was in the 50's and 60's in that they now need to respond quickly to the (...)   Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) It is absolutely impossible to create a clear coating that will shield the uv light forever because of the fact that one has to incorporate some uv absorber in the coating that will absorb the energy. And transparent ones are not nearly as (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.color)

  Re: New Crane...

I can't see from your photos how you're stopping the main structure lifting off the base. Correct me if I'm wrong, but crane turntables hold the superstructure down so the load moment is transferred to the crawler base. I've seen photos of cranes (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Panel Fairings?

(...) He's not saying the new ones are less useful, He's saying the new ones couldn't be worse than the old ones. In other words, the old ones are a useless as they could be. (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Walmart no longer selling LEGO

(...) No... I could not believe it... and I was thrilled to see this... (URL) I can only wonder if Lego took the hit, or Walmart did?   Burlington Northern GP9

(URL) Here is my take on a Burlington Northern GP9. The cab was the result of trying to reverse engineer Benn Coifman's five-wide cab on his (URL) Northern Pacific GP9>. Eventually I gave up on trying to duplicate his design and came up with my (...) (17 years ago, 21-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: New Panel Fairings?

(...) I wasn't referring to the old fairings. I was referring to the new fairings. Being that they have pin holes on both ends, I would have thought they gave you more of an opportunity to "close up". They could be used in co-operation with old (...) (17 years ago, 20-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: BricxCC-brickOS (bash) interoperability problems

  Re: New Panel Fairings?

(...) I think it's because I always think things should be "closed up". If I was say building a truck and putting fairings on the side I'd build it from bricks and plates so it would be rectangular, you' can't do that with the old fairings. (17 years ago, 20-Feb-08, to lugnet.technic)
