Re: Variations in dark blue color.

I have huge constructions of white and yellow bricks which were not consistent from the factory. The 1x4s and 2x2s were obviously differently (...) (17 years ago, 14-Feb-08, to lugnet.color)

(URL) This is a picture I took with a variation of these 2 parts There are apparently 2 slightly different molds of these 2 parts, I think I knew this before but had forgot about it until today. One type has an extra notch that let you connect a 2 (...) (17 years ago, 13-Feb-08, to lugnet.trains)

My first MOC of which I am rather pleased-not really sculpture

I was contracted by Wichita State Shocker Mindstorms event to creat some trophies for their event. They wanted me to incorporate some of my WoodStitches (TM) which are LEGO bricks covered with wood veneer. In the 21 unique trophies used over 20 (...) (17 years ago, 13-Feb-08, to lugnet.build)

(...) ABS in and of itself will yellow. With white the yellowing is just more evident. Yellowing occurs in blue and red and all the other colors but is masked. It is analogous in paint to the fact that certain resins will yellow with age. Acrylic is (...) (17 years ago, 13-Feb-08, to lugnet.color)

  Dome of the Rock

I swear I didn’t build this in 4 days. I had started a number of projects over the summer but they all took a back seat when I was commissioned to build a model of a local church. The church was completed in early January and I’m finally getting (...) (17 years ago, 13-Feb-08, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.arch) !

(...) I've been told this is common among white elements especially-- that they're more susceptible to light damage (or perhaps just that it's more noticeable in white). I was told (IIRC this was from master builders in Enfield) that even the (...) (17 years ago, 13-Feb-08, to lugnet.color)

Re: Variations in dark blue color.

(...) Hi Rich I don't think that is the problem in that it is random all over the piece and there is no way these could have been damaged. There will be a row with 30 pure white and 20 yellowed and the new row is both also. This is from the bottom (...) (17 years ago, 13-Feb-08, to lugnet.color)

  Re: nxt controller specification

(...) Yep. But note that Philo was talking about *torque*, not force. A torque of 50 N•cm means that it could supply a force of 50 N with a lever arm of 1 cm, or a force of 500 N (more than 100 lbs) for a lever arm of 1 mm... but that would imply an (...) Thank you for clarifying this, Brian. I was reading (URL) It stated that the NXT with "Stalled torque) up to 50 N.cm. 50N... it equates approximately 10lbs?!
