  Re: Bridgelayer

Very nicely done. You can really see the positive effects of all the work in conception in this MOC. The function itself is very impressive, especially for plastic! God Bless, Nathan (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: A power rail idea

(...) Not a bad idea. However, I used to have a decent layout in the 70's (my Dark Ages) using the 12V system, which is not too far from what you are proposing. It would require Lego to come up with new parts, including a complicated switch. Also, I (...) (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains)

  Ten brick contest entries?

I saw a film someplace a while back with a swan and duck that was limited to ten pieces for a contest. Any idea where I could find more films from that contest? My searches have been fruitless. -Suz (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.animation)

Source Code Changes in NXT Firmware Version 1.05

I haven't seen it previously mentioned but the open source firmware for version 1.05 is downloadable from the LEGO Mindstorms web site. I did a WINDIFF on the various source files to see what has changed in this release. I then manually examined the (...) (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.robotics.nxt)

Re: Powering 9v Trains using the NXT

(...) Are you using the NXT on batteries alone, or using the Li-ion battery pack so you can plug the NXT into a wall for more consistant power? (...) As others have noted, this has worked well with the RCX. It's essentially how the GBC trains are (...) (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.robotics, lugnet.org.us.ulug)

  Re: Two more interlocking puzzles

(...) Allan, I'm glad to hear you like my puzzles. Making the puzzles "aesthetically pleasing" was of course the biggest challenge: the choice of colour (tan) makes them look like they're made of a soft kind of wood (e.g. deal), and I didn't want a (...) (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.build)

  Re: LTC question

(...) Thanks for the insightful reply Tommy. If I do get the recognition I so desperately crave, I will certainly go to you for all my KeithLUG / KeithLTC brick engraving needs. I'm already thinking of all the tag-lines to come out of that weekend (...) (17 years ago, 17-Oct-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
