I played around with sensors and wires, and came up with a way to use the touch sensor as a switch. See my post at lugnet.cad.dat.ideas (URL). Unfortunately, even when the touch sensor is pressed, it still has a significant amount of resistance, so (...) (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) That obviously depends on what type of physical design is used for the switch. Some switches are not capable of bouncing the way you describe because there is no impact or acceleration during contact (example: slide switches that move leaf (...) (25 years ago, 25-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

Here a touch sensor is used as a switch. See my post at lugnet.robotics for more details. Electric plates of the same color belong to the same wire. The green plate is the input.
