Re: TSRR #500 and the Texas State Railroad Project

(...) Thanks so much! I know I'll be making the trip up north to visit the park when they resume normal operation in the late spring, though I have to admit it'll be half for the enjoyment of the trains, and half for MOC research. Let's hope the (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: TSRR #500 and the Texas State Railroad Project

(...) Thanks! There are a few quirks with the design, but they're not hard to overcome. With my locomotive, the center of rotation is forward of the center of gravity, so without the rear blind drivers and the load-bearing rear truck, the locomotive (...)   Re: Classic Space Rocket Train

(...) Tony, thanks much for the nice words, and thanks much for the MOC Highlight. That was an excellent surprise. Long wheelbase: Good eye! I've only tried the passenger car on curves via pushing the train by hand, and it seems to do ok. It (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: TSRR #500 and the Texas State Railroad Project

(...) Thanks, I'm glad you like it! I did a lot of planning and surfing the web for pictures. This is the most un-photographed locomotives the TSRR has, but I was FINALLY able to get a profile shot of it so I could do some serious layout planning. I (...) Hey Ben, (...) Thanks! You know, after I posted I realized I had forgotten to thank you for all the advice, so I apologize for that. You really helped me with building 7-wide! (...) Well, I guess the best way for me to handle this is by the (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Your LEGO Dream Set?

Creator Houses should easily become Dollhouses by having: Family Minifigs: father, mother, daughter, son, baby. I have been missing the Lego women. Furniture Creator set: to make better chairs, dressers, cabinetry and, of course, a piano. (19 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.ambassadors, FTX)

  Re: MOC: Goliath

(...) Well I allready had planned to disassemble him, but never found the heart to do it. So this help a lot on that case... (...) I also wondered about the part count. I had estimated about 2000, considering the weight of 1769g. (...) Thank you! (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Manhattan's Engine 14

(...) Thanks. I actually hadn't thought to use light gray. I wanted to use dark gray to tie it in with other dark gray elements on the facade. Looking back, with consideration for the shadows and all, light gray may have been more appropriate. (...) (...) (19 years ago, 5-Jan-07, to lugnet.town, FTX)
