Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

(...) And I have to say thank you for adding these. The stories being told on the moonbase are a lot of the fun. I liked the space men chasing the zombies up the tower. Other fantastic stories on the moonbase were the spaceman (URL) to smell the (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: Holiday Train now available in USA

(...) Martin Long got me one from Milton Keynes in the UK last week. The UK price was £50, which compares very well with the US price - makes a pleasant change. I love that LEGO are selling it without track, motor, etc. Never mind IR control, this (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: S@H on line pick a brick

(...) There are indeed some pricing idiosyncracies. However, a few of these work to the advantage of the consumer. For example, large spruce trees are now cheaper (10 for $6.40) than the bulk bag (10 for $6.99). The same is true for train rails (8 (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: [MOC] The Dragon's tower

'ello! That's a nice keep again. I too like the natural look of the landscaping, but also the keep itself is done pretty well. It has the specific clean and nice Denix-look to it. My favourite part, however, is this cupboard in the kitchen: (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.castle)

Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

(...) I built it in five sections, each a little under 2 feet tall. These were merged together the first morning to form the full tower. Unfortunately since I hadn't done tile layers it couldn't come apart afterwards. So it had to come home in many (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

Re: first multi-colored sculpture - rhapsody in blue

(...) I will confess that the interior is empty. The technological breakthrough was the ability to produce the color voxel representation of the multi-colored object. To transform objects into voxels I had been rendering slices through them. (page 7 (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture, FTX)

  Re: [MOC] The Dragon's tower

(...) My favorite part of this is the detailing in the rooms. The furniture all looks great, but I especially love the fireplaces. I also like how you used the plates over the arches on the bridge to give it a nice curved look. -Elroy (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.castle)

  Re: The Beer Train

This train is awesome! Very well built. I love the color and the design. Next time you should make one that can carry both beer and soda bottles. I love how you held the beer in place, very ingenious! Overall, 9 out of 10. (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.announce.moc, FTX)

  Re: Three new MOCs

(...) Hi Lukas, Thanks for your comments. The concept car is very loosely inspired by the Batman tumbler thus the off-road name. I'm not sure what you mean by "rover".   Re: Northwest Artifact wins Best of Show at NWBrickCon 2006

(...) Thanks! The 'pins' (axle-2) are used only to 'glue' the front face 'sheet' to the wing base 'sheet'. There is enough tension/compression that it is extremely unlikely to come apart without intent. The axles (captured 3-1/2 w/stud) on the (...) (20 years ago, 13-Oct-06, to lugnet.build.sculpture)

  Re: [MOC] The Dragon's tower
