Re: No Announcements from the Brickfest 2006 Folks....

Maybe there is no news to tell... I detoured from BrickFest at the last minute to attend Playmobil World (funny scheduling, huh?) The awesome display there was a preview of the Roman theme Playmobil, which should be in the US in 2007. The German (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.general)

Re: **10173** CHRISTMAS TRAIN! - Get it now! - 115cm long!

(...) Interesting to see how LEGO seem to be using the inverse of the generally accepted exchange rate. By that reasoning we can expect it to be around 150 quid by the time it reaches the UK... (...) Hi, the set made it to the shelves of the LEGO stores in Oberhausen and Hamburg (which is both located in Germany) in early August 2006. Then the shop manager where informed that the sets have to be kept in the backstore till october 18th... (...)   Re: Would this be Legal to do?

Well actually... You could legally include a copy of the ldraw parts archive that pre-dates the license that all the authors had to agree to and then have your install script look for newer parts, if it detects an Internet connection... (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: Would this be Legal to do?

(...) Hi Ryan, Sorry to tell you but it would not be legal. The only site that can deliver the parts is (URL) At present there is no way around this. Tim (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Would this be Legal to do?

I am working on a project for MLCad, which makes viewing and finding parts easier. I would like my work to be available for people to download, but it requires Ldraw, MLCad and official Ldraw parts files to be downloaded in a package. I would like (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Re: A new open air trolley car

(...) [...] (...) Hi Tim, Thanks, I like the way it turned out, and it wasn't even painful to make. It was one of those rare models that just came to me (I was, of course, basing the design on a trolley car that I have ridden on). Anyway, the camera (...)   Re: T93 Solaris - REFACTOR and DISSECTION

(...) I'd like to see a few overall shots of the exterior. The shots you have are good, but how about side, top, front, back, perspective, and etc. views of the whole ship? Thanks, Jeff (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build.schleim, FTX)

Re: A questions for those attending

(...) I was invited to a meeting Sunday morning about hobby train. The LEGO factory people and the community people (I don't remember all the names so I won't name specific people) totally understand that somehow 9v trains need to stay alive. We (...)   Missing: One moonbase module

Last seen in a blue and white cardboard box normally used to hold reams of paper, is (URL) my spaceport>. It was last seen, I think, Sunday afternoon.   Re: Looking for Star Wars Base Plate

(...) If anyone has one of the cards that came with this baseplate/stand handy, would you mind posting the dimensions? I can't get to mine right now to measure, and I can't tell from bricklink just how tall they are. Thanks, Andy (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.cad)

Scania T114G with Liebherr A904 excavator

Yes, another model again. Actually I built it from 2003 to 2005 but before I take pictures I first search for a suitable spot and good weather! Combining both isn't as easy as you might think but most times the weather doesn't cooperate. Fortunately (...)   Re: No Announcements from the Brickfest 2006 Folks....

(...) Sorry, we're not really at liberty to discuss details... ;) And there were enough LEGO people there to sign all the attendees into NDA's. I think someone said there were 30 employees there? I'm guessing that doesn't include the retail store (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.general)

DDD...DDD This just in, We take you live to a phone somewhere in the US. The Christmas Lego train should be in the Sept/Oct catalog.   Bubba wins BrickFest!

Good news for technic fans! Alvin Brant won Best of Show at BrickFest Saturday night. His Terex Demag CC8800 was dubbed "the big crane", and won the Best Technic award as well. However, his big crane is the LR 11200, so one would have to guess that (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-06, to lugnet.technic)
