  Re: Local snack-bar

What a cute building! I think that's a great choice of prototype, Robert - small, characterful, and a few non-rectangular features to make it an interesting challenge to build - and you've really done a good job of catching the character. I (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.town)

  Re: The Un-Vigs

A fantastic idea. I love the concept so much that I'm thinking of some possibilities myself. Well done! Linus (20 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

(...) That was actually my idea behind (URL) this> vig, which I built a little while ago but never posted to Lugnet. A few friends and I were talking about what would be the most boring vig, and we came up with standing in line. However, I'd agree (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  The "Caped" Penguin

And why do I call it that, you might ask? You will see... This is a quick build I did the other day while trying to figure out what to do with 2 old red plastic capes I got from a lot from Value Village. I discovered that they could make a decent (...)   The Un-Vigs

I was thinking about the whole concept of vignettes, and, as much as I like them, I felt the need to be contrary ;). So I made two vigs of the most boring sort possible, and while that is true, they are also still pretty funny. Behold! The Un-Vigs! (...) (...) SNIP That is one great MOC! If that is your second "pretty" one then you're doing just fine. I like the roof, and the SNOT on the back is pretty cool. I'm guessing that's a bus stop on the side? Keep up the good work, Jeffery MacEachern (4 (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.town, FTX)

I feel Blue but aesthetics is gray.

(...) I am a strong believer in "form follows function." The reason for this is that function can be evaluated based on absolute criteria- physics, ergonomics, ect. Aesthetics is not evaluated on absolute criterian other than beauty is in the eye of (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  A bridge too far...

No, not revisiting an old rtl 'bot competition... (URL) it's pretty close to the one I built before. eh, whatever. Anyway, I'll get the wiring and stuff working, and I'll RCX it so it'll go up and down and check for trains and such, but it works. So (...) (20 years ago, 20-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
