  Re: Non-RCX Drop Tower

(...) Unreal! While a true battle of material, it's certainly an impressive design. Any RCX design must appear like the easy road in comparison ;-) Understanding the mechanism is a challenge in its own right - very cool. Thanks for posting this, (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: New Battery Box

(...) I haven't. But you can pick up a copy of 4895 which should be everywhere by now. It got this new battery box. I'm sure you can stick a Technic brick 1x2 with hole on the switch and hook a (pneumatic?) mechanism to it. If that's too (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Non-RCX Drop Tower

Hey guys, check this out: (URL) amusement park drop tower ride that doesn't use RCX... And it slows down near the bottom of the fall! Very realistic.   Re: motorized tank questions

(...) While this is not my primary area of building, I have noticed that the rubber tracks that came with the Cybermaster kits are relatively long and have sufficient grip to at least clear some obstacles. The downside of this is, that the rubber (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)

  Re: motorized tank questions

(...) I think I've fully explored tracked chassis building and it's a dead end. The tracks always snap. And when adding plates to the track they always come off. You just need an a nice angle at the front to climb things. Rubber tracks would be good (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jul-06, to lugnet.build.military)
