Good news for anyone that already has the transformer for the AC powered RCX. Looks like NXT rechargable battery will use the same one! From the product page: "Use the 979833 Transformer to charge the battery " -Tim (20 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Wow, I just received the email from Lugnet permitting me to post here. :-) Today is obviously when NXT pre-orders start, as declared on the home page of Lego Shop at Home. I also received an email, very similar to the one I had a week ago as an MDP (...) (20 years ago, 1-Apr-06, to lugnet.robotics)
