It has come to my attention that some people have been trying to turn .trains into a place filled with steam trains and other such ancient rubbish. Fortunately these posts live low in a thread where they belong. As such I have decided to take it (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains)

  Some WIPs..

Having noticed the .space silence lately, I decided to take some photos of whatever models could be found on my desk. And so, here are they are: two alternate models of 4101, a small vessel of some sort, and a little sci-fi-ish backdrop for (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.space)

  Re: I like Choo-Choos

(...) Good grief man, they smell almost as bad as diesels! And your foreign wood-burning things with those daft fat chimneys are out too... Jason Railton (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Treasure Reef

(...) [...] (...) creativity. I've never seen a whale (not a fish, I think?) skeleton made from LEGO but you did it very well. I also liked the sand castle a lot. It's not too often that you see such an original idea made in LEGO. (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.town)

This sounds a lot like NXT

Check this out people, this sounds just like NXT: (URL) (from GameBoy) Bluetooth Closed loop motor controll (servo like motors) with back EMF... I guess this is the way to do it, no need for integrated encoders since you get 10000 counts per (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

Re: NXT box shows Part inventory

(...) WOW! I haven't even seen the box! That is really cool. Looks like LEGO is ready to go...I'm wondering if the release date will indeed move up instead of back...I certainly hope so! -aps (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Check Out The 8285

(...) My thoughts: Looks even more like a smaller version (because of barcode truck wheels) of (URL) this tow truck by grazi> which is in turn based on 5571. Which brings the question... Is 8285 a NK product? If this is not real, how come the (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.technic, FTX)

  Re: What happened?

(...) Well... I was thinking on the lines of taking the 'mega' part of 'mega bloks' and adding it to lugnet. -Abner :) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.general)

  Re: NXT expansion sets

Re: Should I lubricate my Lego motor?

(...) Both. Likely due to bad design and/or manufacture. Someone at TLC is supposed to be looking into it. But I do not know what is the outcome. C S Soh (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.legos, lugnet.technic)

  Question Burst

As usual, I've stored up a bunch of questions, and I'm sending them out into the great beyond in the hopes that, amidst NXT battles, they will find their answers and return to me ;-) Question 1: Are the omniwheels at (URL) worth US$9.00? I am (...) (20 years ago, 25-Jan-06, to lugnet.robotics)
