  Shade variations worthy a part?

Hi folks, I'm currently discussing with Chris if the following classic space baseplates are just two variants not worthy of separate parts 'cos they are more a shade variation like on the red forestmen torsos? We decided to ask a wider public (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.dat.parts, FTX)

  Re: Check Out The 8285

(...) Wow, looks like they finally included dual wheels for the rear axles! (The 5571 Black Cat looked silly with single wheels in the back) -Bryan (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.technic)

Re: How many transfer Opening - R20

(...) I think the issue with using 7 is that there's no room outside the preimeter for the EOAT for transferring the blocks. when I use 6 TO's, the 'diameter' is 9 and a half inches, leaving me 2 and a half inches in which to build the EOAT. At (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: LEGO Day at the Owatonna Arts Center

Kevin, Oooh, bad timing. That's the same day as the Minnesota State FLL tournament. You should come next year and display you MOC's at the tourney. We could have you, me, Doug Carlson and Benton Jackson. I wonder what other AFOL's we have in the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.loc.us.mn, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.technic)

  Odd brick SNOT

I just discovered a simple technique today for doing odd brick width SNOT, thus getting around the 2 in the 5:2 rule. I couldn't think of having seen it before so maybe it is new (although it seems unlikely). Anyway, I thought I'd share it since I (...)   Re: Bluetooth GPS

Steve, Have you popped in the CD that came with it? Maybe something in there will at least give us a shot at figuring out what GPS chipset it is using. I'd be interested in knowing the specs for it. John (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.org.us.laflrc)

  Re: Check Out The 8285

(...) That got me too. When I first saw the 8285, my first impression was some photoshop gag. But then I checked out BrickLink and saw 8285 listed as a 2006 set(just the pic they have is tiny). Here: (URL) his MOCs with an actual set sounds like an (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.technic)

  Re: The Weight is Over!!!

(...) Marco, you were correct. It was the rotational part of the joints that caused the collapse. Once I switched the joints around, they held the weight. I also added a shock to the downward joint to limit how far the joint can expand. There still (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Small town building reference

(...) Thanks, Tony. This is wonderful. On a side note: I broke down and bought a camera this weekend and will contribute some neighborhood-y type NYC shots next week. I'll make it a point next weekend to get out and take some pictures during the (...) (20 years ago, 23-Jan-06, to lugnet.town, lugnet.build.arch, FTX)
