  Re: Roberts-Sophie Mech-off

(...) Whateva... I rather post the whole slew of emails I got saying what a mean person you are. Aside from that, please don't bother me anymore. Thank you. e (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)

Re: What happened to Harry Potter

(...) I was starting to worry for Lego. Almost nobody in Milwaukee is showing much Lego this Christmas except Toys R Us. Wal-Mart, very narrow range, Target, bare shelves, Kohl's, Clikits. It makes it look like they are dropping Lego from retail. It (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.harrypotter)

  Re: Roberts-<______> Mech-off

I don't take issue with anything else, but whining? I was hardly whining. Yeah, the rules are generous towards me - I never claimed otherwise. I have at least three things I want to build before then, though, and the next three months are crazy for (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Roberts-Sophie Mech-off

(...) Cheer up, emo kid. Why don't you post it? You have my express permission to do so. It's not something I'm proud of having written, but unlike you, I'm man enough to own up to my mistakes. Soren (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Roberts-<______> Mech-off

(...) The rules are not 'unrealistic'. Just not very challenging. At least not for someone with any skill. Given nine months to build a twelve inch mecha, even someone like me (who's never built a mecha before) could do it. Looks like others are (...)   Re: Roberts-<______> Mech-off

Man, this blows... I wanted to see a contest. It would have been better than all this nonsense. Eric, you really should reconsider. I think 12 inches is not a very good size - Soren, all your stuff is on the order of twelve inches, AND you chose a (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)

(...) I'll go even though 12" is not my normal scale (note: disclaimer inserted early in case of massive blow out aka: parachute). I doubt I dislike you enough but I'm sure we can work on it. (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Roberts-<______> Mech-off

(...) I'll step forward. I want to learn about mecha building, and while this is extreme, it is an opportunity. And it will be fun! so, we're doing that anime based mecha, twelve inch limit? And how long to build? I am pretty busy with stuff, ya (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Roberts-Sophie Mech-off

Other than the fact the rules he set in response to your challenge are completely outside your typical building medium, how are they unrealistic? Setting specifics of size or parts sets a basis on which to judge. Limiting the size will also (...) (20 years ago, 20-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Roberts-<______> Mech-off

Oh stop weaseling. You accepted (if I understand your crazy moon language), and if you want to save what little face you have left you'll do this as is.   Re: Mr. Jeeves
