  New Mecha: Talon

Greetings all! Just finished my latest Battlemech. I don't usually build them so close together, but the creative urge hit me again. I had to run with it, and yes, I freely admit I am obsessed with triangles at the moment! As per usual, the stats (...)   Star Wars: Clone Wars Vol 2 DVD - "Revenge Of The Brick" - HILARIOUS!

Hey all, Just watched this today at work and I'm really glad I wasn't eating or drinking anything because I was laughing my *** off! Had this premiered on the web previously? If so, sorry I missed it then, but it was really nice to see it without (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.starwars)

Re: Delta - another infantry support bot

(...) Marco, It kinda reminds me of a cross between two things in the Star Wars universe. They are the AT-PT and the Binary Load Lifter Droid. It's tiny, it's cool, but can I get one with tools and repulsor lifts so it can hover around and repair my (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

(...) The tricycle Slashdot talks about is a totally unrelated thing though. (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Vehicle with square wheels

(...) I liked it too. (...) My first thought was also of a Lego solution. I also got stuck at the point where I'd have to have plates at 22.5 degree offsets - however, I think I have an elegant solution that I came up with on the drive home this (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) There are many answers to that. One is that evolution *IS* used in some fields of engineering. Genetic algorithms have been used in many situations. I myself have used a genetic algorithm to develop a program that can recognise buildings in (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

(...) I don't have the dialog verbatim - but something like: Human : Are there any steeples in the box? SHRDLU: I don't know what a "steeple" is. Human : Define a steeple as a cube with a pyramid resting on top of it. SHRDLU: OK Human : Are there (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  "Marley was dead..."

"...it came on through the heavy door, and passed into the room before his eyes. Upon its coming in, the dying flame leaped up, as though it cried, ``I know him! Marley's Ghost!'' and fell again.   Re: MOTM / SOTM Voting For December Is Now Open

(...) I'm hesitant to use a captcha since it's just one more step in a process that's supposed to be quick and easy (i.e. it makes since to us webheads but the general user will see it as a pain-in-the-rear). I do however agree that a permissions (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.cad.dev.org.ldraw)

  Re: Death in the Library

That is a great MOC! You should enter it in the CCC3, but I wouldn't rebuild it. There is a Misc category that this would fit in just fine... Josh PS. Love the falling guy! (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

  Re: Japan Rail EF64

(...) Thanks. I don't know what it pulls actually. If you have any idea (ie. links ;)) I'd be happy to make some cars to go with it. Tim (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: Japan Rail EF64

(...) The real ones are quite wide (for a Japanese train). The length is too short but I have something against Lego trains that go beyond 36 or so studs, they always look too long to me so I always compress the 'belly' a bit. (...) Afraid I don't (...) (20 years ago, 7-Dec-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Japan Rail EF64

(...) Look very good apart form the aspect ratio. Are the real ones really wide or really low? The base is cleverly done though :) Any idea how the real ones work as I've never seen 3 bogies stock before. (20 years ago, 6-Dec-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Japan Rail EF64

(...) Nice work Tim!. I love the details. And I am an especial fan of Japanese trains so this one's even more special for me. Can't wait to see more matching cars, if they are in the plan. JB (20 years ago, 6-Dec-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
