Has anyone tried to order some of the kits from the Dacta/Pitsco site? there is an amusement park set that does bumper cars, tourbus that follows a line, and a few other things for like $100. didn't know what it was, or if it would be cool to get. (...) That's my experience as well. I tried to put water into my pneumatics gear as a child, but it never functioned again after that. Perhaps it would have worked if I'd let it dry more thorough? I'll never know, but in the mean time I'll concur (...) (25 years ago, 11-Aug-99, to lugnet.robotics)

I was astonished to find that when the RCX is just on (NOT running a task) with the light sensor, both switches, and both motors connected that the Battery voltage drops very quickly. 12 mV a second or more. My first Technic set was the Yellow JCB earth mover. After taking it apart to build my own model ( a claw and arm I think). I got water in the cylinders by accident.
