If i remember correctly, Modulex bricks *do* have a 1 to 1 ratio. They were designed by TLG later than the basic LEGO bricks, so this *suggests* TLG retrospectively would have preferred the simpler ratio for the LEGO system as well, but were (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.general)

Most of the sets were available in the UK, but only for a short time while the World Cup was on. In fact, TRU in Preston still has a whole bunch of the starter sets (the ones with the football pitch baseplates) - sadly going at full price. If anyone (...) Err - I still haven't figured this out. 3.5 x 4 x 5 sounds like a huge brick. The nearest doors I can think of are 1x4x5. ???...??? (...) in (...) (25 years ago, 10-Aug-99, to lugnet.trains)
