(...) That just isn't true. Bluetooth units cost in the order of tens of dollars, and who knows how much R&D to set up. Simple infra-red remote control units, to give you on/off or varying control levels cost in the order of cents. Even full duplex (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.trains)

(...) Actually, I am not convinced it means gears. One of the switches could be mounted with a 45 degree tilt. This would remove the issue of play in the gears. You could also link the handle holes of the polarity switches with a solid piece (as (...) (21 years ago, 23-Aug-05, to lugnet.robotics)
