Re: The box the Smart car came in...

(...) Smart owners are largely impractical. They make excuses for their impractical overpriced car when the only excuse they really need is: It looks cute. Calum (21 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Now accepting custom track preorders for BrickFest

Hey all, a small update here. Although I was able to make all sections of track solder less, I have decided for reliability and my sanity that all sections shorter than 5 studs will use solder. I have also added a couple of products that I seemingly (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, FTX)

  Bogus "clearance" at TRU

Warning--this post contains info about a clone brand, but it's relevant to LEGO, so bear with me... TRU currently has a bunch of stuff with green price tags and signs all over the store proclaiming an additional 30% off green-tagged items. Sounds (...)   Re: BBQ prior to the Library Display

(...) [snip] I think it's a great idea! I'm there (with at least my son and possibly the wife and daughter.) I assume it will be BYOM (meat or substitute). I also think we should skip Denny's for August and just build like mad until the 21st. Ted (21 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.viclug)

BBQ prior to the Library Display

Re: The box the Smart car came in...

(...) (URL) is related to a joke from a conversation I think with Derek and Iain. Iain wants to buy a smart car...and Derek drives a Honda Element. Someone asks... "Is that a smart car" (pointing to the Element) "No, that's the box the smart car (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Build the trust, what are YOU building??

So far, only 4-5 people have posted what they are building. Can I assume all other do not want to tell? Come on.... As posted before, it would be pretty weird to have 8 copies of, for instance, the Robie house, and not a single one of something (...) (...) Try going to (URL), then come back and follow Calum's link. I suspect the MB Canada website sets up a cookie, which must exist before the server will allow you to the image. Steve (21 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Brisbane CityCat Ferry

Dear all, I finally finished a project I've been working on and off for quite a while now. In my home city of Brisbane we have quite a large and windy river. The City Council operate a very useful and very enjoyable set of high speed catamaran (...) (21 years ago, 27-Jul-05, to lugnet.announce.moc, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.cad, lugnet.town, FTX)
