Just completed 8421 myself. Impressions: -certainly the longest technic build I've ever had. -an excellent parts pack -looks very impressive when complete -functionality: vaguely disappointing. (...) You know, I don't think I've ever seen such a plate, but that's likely because I haven't seen waffle plates in general. (...) You could set up all the hang points in advance, and just hang paper clips as placeholders until the asteroids show up.
