  Re: Bulls Gardens

(...) All your stuff is great, but this is especially pleasing to the eye! The curved tan pieces that cover a 2x2 area right at the centre of your fountain, are they the standard 'well' pieces in tan? From some SW set you picked up for parts for (...)   Sorry for random posts

Ross crawford was telling me that most people don't like reading messages that are just for one person- it is not proper netiquette. Sorry to everyone for forgetting that sometimes. I'll try to use peoples' email for that. (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.technic)

Re: Announcing the great Asteroid MOC Contest!

(...) I could SWEAR I posted a reply to this... Maybe it was also asked on CSF. The original intent was minifig scale, but I see no reason to actually make that a restriction. There's no reason to think that there couldn't be tiny little aliens (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) There are two different missile racks. I wanted to do my original technic half-pin missiles, but didn't have enough white pins, so I did the larger missile racks instead. Then I disassembled and sorted my 4402 Sea Riders set, and suddenly (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Hah! There's nothing to see inside the cockpit but exposed studs :) You've exposed my secret strategy to make the uninteresting parts of the MOC indistinguishable in the pictures... Thanks for the comments. After seeing your latest, I'm (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Yeah, I *might* have gotten a little carried away with the colorless color scheme. Now I'm wondering if I have the parts to do the back in dark red, sort of a black widow scheme. I do recommend the cockpit part, it gives you a great sharp (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) I think most of my stuff winds up having a little "cute" content in it. I'd credit (blame?) the anime influence. BTW, I have to confess the wheels don't turn freely, so the model doesn't roll (they're wrapped around 1x1 cylinders). (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Yes, a true Shirow spider tank would never be without a pair of minigun claws. I'm glad I put in extra time on the nose-gun, though. You should have seen the inelegant chunk of crap I had as the first version. It didn't even pivot (...) (21 years ago, 30-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Spider Tank

(...) Thanks for the compliments, Marco. The color scheme really worked itself out. I knew I had to use dark blay for the canopy and joints, I needed to use black for the wheel mountings in the lower legs, and I needed to use white for the half (...)
