Re: If you could wish for any single Lego element, what would it be?

(...) This topic came up a few months back on the MichLUG mailing list and I modeled up a few of the wish parts. Curved Parts: (2 URLs) Gothic Arches: (2 URLs) Personally, I'm rather fond of the gothic arches, so I'd have to pick the 1x6x3 arch as (...)   Re: Bravo

(...) Feel free to build as many as you want Chris! I'd like to see this diorama too. Maybe I can build one more, but I don't have more troops... Keep building (URL) Marco> (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

  Re: Bravo

(...) Glad you like it. The droid arm detail wasn't part of the original design. I added it later, and removed it, added it ones more, and removed it, added it onec more and thought it looks better with. Although I can't think of any technical use. (...)   Re: Kogeru

(...) Kind of looks like a dwarf version of your mechs; shorter but bulkier, with really strong muscles. It looks like it could be designed for use on a planet with strong gravity, like two or three G's. The yellow and dark red is an interesting (...)   Re: Bravo

(...) I like it a lot. I kinda want to build one. Your mini bots are are really cool; I liked the last one, but this one really has a great look and feel to it. I can see two or three of these in some futuristic space marine diorama... Great work! (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: 2005 Mecha Pose Contest, rule clarification

(...) I guess I would have hoped the entries would have some hint of originality i.e. a gla gla armature frame with an original skin, or something like that. Getting a small army of black Gla frames identical to his instructions doesn't seem very (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.build.contests, FTX)

Re: Harbor crane / horse and cart

(...) -snip- (...) Wow. I really love it when people take inspiration from an existing structure and then build it - you get so much more life from the Lego model, I think. Awesome job. The statue detailing is really beautifully done, as are the (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.build, FTX)

More obscure diesel variants (Was Re: BNSF new paint)

Mark's (URL) mention> of the Fell led me to look it up. It seems needlessly complicated and basically the result of trying to prove a mistaken point (that mechanical transmission could be as good or better than electrical) (URL) If you're (...) (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

  Re: The Brick Testament: Gideon!

Hey Brendan, Great work as usual. God Uses Midianites to Oppress Israel - The coolest pic in this story is the second one.   Re: Childhood Dreams Come True...Classic Space Homeworld Mod

(...) 1X2 triple convex slope at 33° in black. I don't need a bunch of them, but I do need them. I suspect many other builders need them too, from what I've seen as far as roof peak modifications with 33° roofs. (21 years ago, 21-Apr-05, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Does it exist?

(...) Good call! That wasn't quite what I was envisioning, but I guess it qualifies. For that matter, one might make a half-hearted case that the "Space Positioning Rockets" might sort of partially qualify, with the one-stud-plate overhang. (...) (...) Sure did Marco. I am grooving on this little dude. I'm afraid I got not much more than what Dave said, the feet feel not quite right. I dig the toes, it's the heel that gets me.   Re: Childhood Dreams Come True...Classic Space Homeworld Mod

(...) Thanks! (...) Yes, the mod will be free to download. It's still some ways from being complete or even playable, but I'd say by the end of the year, maybe the end of the summer it should be done. However, the ship models (untextured) are almost (...)
