  Vigs by Moko

Hey all, Moko doesn't (AFAIK) post on Lugnet, but his (URL) vignettes> really should not be missed. Here are his most recent: (4 URLs) and I'm cross-posting to .disney because of this one: (URL) Bruce (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, lugnet.disney, FTX)

  Re: No Lego Window System

(...) Of course my house will never be buildable in minifig scale unless LEGO comes out with a special part. The arched window in this picture: (URL) be impossible to render. It might not even be easy to render in a larger scale. Of course I'd also (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.general)

Re: One eyed, one horned, flyin' PPE...

(...) Thanks for the cross post. It didn't quites seem "mecha-ish" to me initially. Get Well! (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: One eyed, one horned, flyin' PPE...

(...) Yes, I need to get more Frankenstein, and Troll heads! :) I hate to admit it but I even found a free download of the song someplace... (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.org.us.sealug, FTX)

  Re: ISD Build competition

So, in checking around, I think this is the list of 10-person ISD builds? (Except BricksWest 2003, which had a 13-person team?) I couldn't seem to find the exact times for the 2 attempts made at BrickFest in DC for 2004-- I know one took 1:18:?? (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.contests)

  No Lego Window System

I know I've complained before about the lack of a "Window System" in Lego. The last system the 1957-87 classic Lego windows went out of production in 1987, with the exception of the 1x2x2 windows, which are still produced. Mostly my complaints have (...)   Re: power levels clarification

(...) I couldn't call myself an expert either! In your second way of looking at it, the full voltage and full current are already multiplied to give full power for part of the time. I=(Vcc-Eb)/R Current I, Voltage Vcc, Back EMF Eb and motor (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx, lugnet.robotics.rcx.robolab)

  Re: Space Penguins

(...) I love "3-2-1 Penguins!". I wonder how big their ship would be if you made it to scale with the space penguins in this thread. Jeff (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: Black Diamond

(...) Good work. Looks like a very perilous slope. I also like that you added some height to the base to give it that death defying feel. As others noted, innovative work on anchoring the figs.   Re: Missing parts in Ldraw, what do I do now?

  Re: A few new Vignettes!

(...) I'm glad I saw the picture for this one before I read the description. I immediately thought to myself, hey, that's the pizza pie guy from Sesame Street! I loved that bit when I was a kid. Jeff (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

Hey, very nice vig, Bruce. Great looking mountain, just the right choice of fig heads, and nice job anchoring the skiing fig. -Brendan (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)

  Re: problem downloading

Hi, (...) this means that the class files are in a newer format that Lejos cannot use, so the compiler needs a '-target 1.1' option (with Java 1.5 you may also need '-source 1.2'). It seems your Lejos version is rather old, the current ones put the (...) (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.robotics.rcx.java)

  Re: power levels clarification

Hi Mark, (...) is it really true that there is a square law for PWM? Can you explain the reason why this is so? I understand that this is true if you change the voltage (half the voltage gives half the current so a quarter of the power). But I (...)   Re: Now THERE’S something you don’t see every day...

(...) It happens all the time in Britain. It's shameful. It's almost enough to keep 2 heavy haulage companies in work on its own! It's worse when the destination for the loco is a place with a rail connection. Mark (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Evolution of a Street Rod

(...) Or removing it entirely! I wanna see the flathead! :) The whole rod would look nice in bley too - the whole primered effect. Neat cars, Elroy! Darrell (21 years ago, 14-Mar-05, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town, FTX)
