I used the parts linked above to make some octagonal towers in a large castle MOC I built recently. At the bottom, I attached two opposite sides (parallel) to the supporting pieces below the tower, and then let the other 6 sides "float", just (...) (21 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.build)

(...) When I looked at the first image, one item caught my eye immediately was the 8-tooth gear. When I built my expirement, I had intended the hailfire wheel to be run in an upright position.
