I used the parts linked above to make some octagonal towers in a large castle MOC I built recently. At the bottom, I attached two opposite sides (parallel) to the supporting pieces below the tower, and then let the other 6 sides "float", just (...) (21 years ago, 13-Mar-05, to lugnet.build)

(...) It's a solid first attempt. I'd recommend using tiles on some of the studded surfaces if possible. Spoilers are tough.
