Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) Thanks Clark, I knew my list wasn't 100%. Eric Strand also mentioned to me the #080 largest basic set of the late 60's (known as #080 Ambassador Set under Samsonite in USA/Canada). The #080 is a hybrid basic set/train set. Maybe Ben would be a (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: LEGO®Palooza...or I got by with a little help from my friends

Re: Internationalization of the part library?

(...) Personally, I agree. That said, if the LSC decided that internationalization is not a goal then some consideration of how to proceed would be needed, but I would tend to want to follow their recommendation, it's their charter to own decisions (...)   Re: 5 new vignettes

Hey Nelson, More great vignettes! The boxing ring is my favorite, with the clever take on the ropes and the way the faces and poses perfectly match the action. My other favorite is the crossing man (looks like that Podbrix guy). How many times did (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.town, lugnet.castle, lugnet.sports, FTX)

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) OK Eric, go check when you get home! :-) I have 10 #6075 (10! where the hell did he get 10! - from a 1983 Kmart sale for only $23 each) and they all say #6075. BUT the instructions all say #375/#6075 (Eric, that is what you might be thinking (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: Lego Factory Contest results

(...) I don't object to your viewpoint (I think it would be really great if it DID work like Cafepress), I'm merely pointing out there are other equally viable and (simpler) alternatives to the way the Lego Factory might function. Lego already sells (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.microscale, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.general)

(...) Missing from your list is the second set with this number: (URL) #113 Complete Train w/ Blue Engine Set 1966 ALL There is a UK version of this set with UK-specific printed bricks. (...) There are two distinct versions of this set: (URL) also (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

  Re: AFOL clips

(...) DV is perfect, it's the one format I can eat into the NLE really easily. Shots of layouts, trains going around, robots smacking each other, people building, crowds smiling, would be perfect. Media appearances would be great too. The problem is (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Château de Vignette

(...) WOW!!!! How cool, I like the idea a lot. It looks great the way it all connected and the final model of the castle itself look great as is. Yaron "EyE RoD" Dori (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.castle, FTX)

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) If I'm not mistaken I think my version of the USA castle actually says 6075 and 375 both. As a child this always intrigued me. I also checked recently and mine came with two of each visor included. I guess TLG figured we would lose these. Eric (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: If I were a minifig......

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) Hey Dave, Yes please let us know. While doing my research on old Lego sets, I sometimes find that USA and Canada have the same sets. Then other times Canada will have some sets the same as Europe, but they are not found in the USA. Then other (...) (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) Hi Ben, I would be more than happy to do so. Lego Trains are not my main area of expertise, so I sometimes will need a little help from my Train friends here. Especially "Train Language" :-) Gary Istok (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)

Re: Frank's first LEGO train set has been a 111

(...) OK, I forgot #107. This is the Reversible Power Unit, available in USA/Canada during the same time that #102 was available in Europe. They are basically the same set. In the 70's another #107 came out that was an updated motor set. Gary Istok (21 years ago, 28-Feb-05, to lugnet.trains)
