  CLB meeting this Saturday?

The third Saturday of the month would be this next one, Feb. 19th. Is there a CLB meeting planned? Thanks, - Joe (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.us.clb)

Re: Chicago House of Bricks is Coming!

(...) Sounds neat! But please include lugnet.org.us.clb (Chicago Lego Builders) in announcements about it -- seems like that's the most directly relevant group. I almost missed it, but just happened to see it on the home page before it was cycled (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.events, lugnet.org.us.clb, FTX)

Re: [OT] How large would Executor-class SSD appear?

(...) I dunno, it sounds like it makes sense. I mean, imagine how big a Boeing 747 looks at 50,000 feet (I get about 1/8th of a degree, assuming 70.7m length for a 747). Actually, considering how crasily long many clouds are, I wouldn't be suprised (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Article to appear in Sunday Daily News Feb 20th, 2005

Greetings, I just got word from the reporter that the article on adult LEGO fans in the area should be in the Sunday Daily News this week (Feb 20th, 2005). This is the newer of two daily newspapers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Gail Meagher (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.org.ca.novalug, lugnet.loc.ca.ns.hal, lugnet.loc.ca.ns)

  Re: Inductive sensor?

(...) There is always a way. You would need a very high gain amplifier to pick up the small amount of voltage induced into the "wrapped" wire. If you are talking about LEGO motor wires, you would need to separate the pair of wires and only wrap (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Inductive sensor?

(...) Hello! I work with these kinds of things, and will try to make a few suggestions. Assuming the signal to detect is DC, there would be only a very short pulse on the detecting line if a transformer (as You describe) is made from the two lines, (...)   [OT] How large would Executor-class SSD appear?

OK, this is WAY geeky, but I just thought I'd share... This was triggered by a cloud visible at sunset a couple of evenings ago. It was long and triangular, and took up about 5 "hand-widths" at arms length. I started thinking, how close (or far (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.starwars, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Mosaic programs

(...) I'd say it looks like the image on the right was contrast enhanced before the dithering was applied. Stand back and squint at the images to see the change in contrast. The light colors are all clearly whiter. You can also see some color (...) (21 years ago, 15-Feb-05, to lugnet.build.mosaic, FTX)
