I opened the National Post this weekend and found this charming article about a My Little Pony fan convention in the UK: (URL) thought this was pretty cute until I realized they're where Lego fans were in 1995. Soon they'll start having threads (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 2005 release dates

(...) Yeah, it's actually a kind of cool process, molding two different types of plastic together into one piece. But a lot of people wanted it to be separate pieces. (...) Try BrickSet ((URL) and BZPower ((URL) for pictures and descriptions. - (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.technic.bionicle)

  Re: LEGO museum in Ohio?

(...) Most curious ebay placement. The picture of the school building almost looks like one of those old postcards (like from the 40s or 50s). Otherwise, I dunno. Ray (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.loc.us.oh, lugnet.general, FTX)

Re: Open letter to the CEO of the LEGO Company / Call for your signs! (no discussions here please)

(...) That's one of the more prominent. Others could include discouraging newcomers to the hobby, painting Lego enthusiasts to the general public in a bad light, etc. But since we're intrinsically linked to the Lego Company (there are no other (...)   Re: An homage to the spiders in my basement

(...) Thanks to everyone who responded. This actually started out as an expansion on my sphere-pod MOC. I did the driver's compartment first and worked forward. The legs were rather easy (a bit weak for the weight of the model though...). The middle (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

  Re: need help with instructions

Ahui Herrera- The only program I have is Adobe Photoshop. Now when you are talking about creating the steps, do you save each individual MLCad step as a seperate entity so it can be set against Photoshop? If not, then what? (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.cad)

(...) Hey JoJo! I think both sides of this flame war are guilty of this. To various degrees there are worse offenders, but when people rightly pointed out that this disparaging letter would do more harm than good, they were shouted down. I think, (...)   Re: Police Assault Vehicle

(...) Mostly unruly minifigs. Actually, my whole drive for this model was the turret. I wanted to develop a compact turret that would still hold a minifig. I had a more compact version, but had to enlarge it to fit in the driver. -Duane (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.town, FTX)

(...) --lots of stuff deleted --- Calum et al, I think the main concern here seems to be that the sending of this letter will harm you, by affecting TLC's view of you/our AFOL community?   Re: (MOC) 12-gun Top-Sail Schooner RTS REMEMBER the LEGAMO

Again, something with guns and sails. Suh-wheet! All the little lattice windows are neat, as is the little "molding" on the back of the captain's cabin. Nice color scheme too. Sorry I can't offer much in the way of shipbuilding critiques. The names (...) (21 years ago, 24-Jan-05, to lugnet.pirates, FTX)

I've always liked old sailing vessels, the thunderous broadside shots and all. This is a really neat, and really big ship. What's the tape for? Coloring the hull?
