  Re: Gateway patent using Lego

(...) Thanks for the clarification. I did not know that internet documents did not classify as prior art (bewildering in itself - are these the people we trust to sort out the legalities of technology?). If it helps, there is at least one other book (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad)

Re: New RCX sensor: Wire guidance sensor

(...) Hi Gus, This is a very impressive project. Thanks for sharing the information. I tested your program with a similar bot just to see your program in action. It performed flawlessly. Bob Fay (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Copenhagen Metro subway station!

(...) I considered writing the Copenhagen Metro Company and ask if they could use my model for some purpose. But the model was only built for my own fun (and of course to be published on Brickshelf and Lugnet!). I haven't yet attended any LEGO train (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

  RE: A Generic Idea

(...) If there are USB Logitec camera drivers for PPC (especially for the ball cams), then try those. Many of the Logitec drivers will work fine with the LEGO cam (considering it's a Logitech cam to begin with). Conversely, the LEGO cam drivers work (...)   Re: 8475 Motor Tests

That figure was the normal operation (no load) figure. What concerned me was that it was a factor of almost 20 higher than the gear motors which normally run about 10mA. Of course, it is very easy to overlook the fact that the gear motor is (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  MINI's in my hands, WOW!!

Hey all, Just got the first wave of four MINI's today at my local Target (4484, 4485, 4486, and 4487). Ummmmm, WOW! Double WOW! While the ISD represents the grand scale that Lego can accomplish, these sets clearly represent the possibilites of (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: New 2003 Town Sets

(...) Wow, thanks for posting these pictures. On one hand, I'm glad to see traditional town sets returning to the Lego product line. I hope, however, that there won't just be police kits (there are so many already!) but a broad range of other (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.town)

Re: Alco c420 2010 Diesel Locomotive and a Generic

(...) Yeah, I probably shouldn't have even announced this MOCery of the USA diesel. You and others have spent years fine-tuning and perfecting the look of the USA diesels. I'm playing catch-up and obviously not matching your specific and mutual (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.trains)

Re: New Construction Toy In LDraw Format!

(...) Ok, I got a few emails asking for them so... The original knex library is here: (URL) modified version is here: (URL) believe both versions of the library have some unnessary "0 STEP" lines that should be removed to avoid random pauses. (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: Gateway patent using Lego

(...) It's not the same as LDraw, in fact it's something quite different, but clearly anticipated by Fred Martin and others. Don't worry, Lego is way out ahead of these guys at Gateway in claiming intellectual property rights. But do worry, it will (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.cad)

  Re: Stormtrooper Transport

Wow! That's very cool. The way you did the front and the way you did the gun on the back is really nice. I really like your style. What did you use for a backdrop and lighting? -JHK (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)

  Re: A Generic Idea

Yes, I think the point isn't whether or not the robot has enough oomph to recognize faces or things like that :D The point is that you can do a *lotta* fun stuff with a camera or mike in a robot, if ONLY you could give the RCX a link to something (...) (22 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

  Re: A Generic Idea

(...) To clarify, I should say that the software with the cam would probably not even install on a PPC, since it doesn't even install on XP... (22 years ago, 7-Jan-03, to lugnet.robotics)

(22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.loc.se)

  Re: 8475 Motor Tests

(...) Yes, I did too. Judging from the performance of the RC car, you'd think the motors would be equivalent to perhaps 8, or more, of the geared 9V motors. The buggy can really zip along! There was one other thing about my test. When the 9252 motor (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics)

  Re: Understanding Leaks

(...) Thanks to everyone who replied to this thread. Most of this is a lot clearer now although there is still a little cloudiness that probably can never be avoided.   Some quick comments on Jabba's Palace & Jabba's Message

Hey all, Picked these up at Target as well. Jabba's Message: Aside from the Bib Fortuna 'fig and the decorated ball socket piece, I think it's a fairly poor set. I have a whole bag of Threepios and Artoos already. *sigh* The door isn't filled in (...) (22 years ago, 8-Jan-03, to lugnet.starwars)
