Joshua - There should be no problems using the Gleason Research libraries (or any of the libraries that are on the web site). After two weeks of writing code in DOS/Windows (yuck), I downloaded the ic-2.860beta source code, which compiled without significant trouble in linux (...) I built an H-Bridge over the weekend to replace the chips on the Handyboard and I was wondering what pins on the motor control sockets I need to connect the new circuit to? Hi (...) You could use spezial interface chips to solve your problem. Hewlett Packard has some chips (HCTL2016, HCTL2020) which are easy to use and offer a lot of features.
