Re: Classic Space set design and building contest

(...) Nice model- very consistent with period designs. I'd say it gets bonus points for being an alternate of two existing sets, though the wing shape is much more like space sets from a few years later. -- Tony Hafner www.hafhead.com (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

  - - - FS/FT: Classic Space and Much More

I have once again added a bunch of Lego to my FS/FT site. Among these are all of my old Classic Space and Space Police I sets. Check them out at: www.cyberis.net/~tco...s/sale.htm I will probably post some pictures of them I have taken in a week or (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Brain Powered

(...) John, Brain Powered Mecha...very clean lines! Not really the direction I'm headed right now but cool none the less. I'm headed into the "tons o' crap way over the top" style, but I really like the arm of the Brain Powered model. (...) You also used the newer 3x3 wing bits. I don't know exactly when they came out, but they certainly were much later than 1979. Not to pick your design apart, of course. I have done some variants of those ships as well, and I don't recall any (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: Classic Space set design and building contest

(...) Yeah, here's another: (URL) not sure if this is eligible, as I made it a couple of months ago. Also, I'd like to make some minor tweaks to get rid of the more modern pieces (trans-antifreeze bits on the engines, corrugated bricks, and a couple (...) (...) Thanks Paul, But who's to say you couldn't make that too? Maybe there are a number of variations based on the Starfleet platform. ;^) ~Mark "Muffin Head" Sandlin (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.space)

Re: [Fwd: Mindstorm Mall Tour looking for a few good LUGs]

Normally I'd jump at the chance, especially since 95% of my train buys have arrived, but I can't - I can't even make the meeting - because I've been cast in the Dickens Fair (sort of like the Renaissance Fair, only different) and weekends from 11/4 (...)   Re: Space Base Ideas?

Hi Wayne. I actually only bought two 6199's and I got the other two baseplates off eBay. The Rover that you see me working on is something on which I've been collaborating with Mark Rideout. It's fallen by the wayside at the moment because we (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.build, lugnet.aquazone)

Bryan, Thanks for the reference but I need to give credit where due. Ben Fleskes originally designed the Amtrak style engine (of course I did embellish it to its current greatness ;) ) SteveB (...) (25 years ago, 27-Oct-00, to lugnet.trains)
