Missed getting the specials this week, but here they are

Well, I'm not crossposting this to .announce since I'm not really announcing, just relaying. I did try to call S@H several times yesterday, but got busy signals all day, so I assumed I was correct in assuming they were closed. Looks like someone (...)   Re: My own personal motherload of the month

(...) Heh, one of my favorite pedantic pet peeves. "From from where" From down under. :) (...) Actually that would be kinda cool. Lemme see if I can feed them blue 1x1 bricks and have them produce 1x1 brown round plates. (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

(...) Hard to tell in that image, but (URL) it clear, yes, that's exactly what I need. New thread: lost pieces that were once in production, but are no more. -- Steve Jacquot sj5w@virginia.edu (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: No way for a LEGO newbie to get up to speed? Unfair!

(...) I haven't seen the new 1999 Technic sets yet, but I would say that the piece selection in the 1998 sets where very good. Personally, I would find enough pieces to build many interesting things using a few 1998 Technic sets. (...) But there is (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

No way for a LEGO newbie to get up to speed? Unfair!

You know, there doesn't really appear to be much in the way of LEGO for wannabe enthusiasts any more. (By the way, I'm thinking entirely on the Technic line here). It appears to me that every set these days seems to be geared towards developing a (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.general)

Re: Older Dacta Community Vehicles IS still available at Kaplan

Last year, they gave me a free 6649 Street Sweeper and 6535, with no explanation why, they were just in the box with it. This year, same thing - extra 6649 and 6535 in the box. Makes it WELL worth ordering while they are still around, considering (...) (27 years ago, 19-Jan-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)
